Bridge porn sneak preview, because I'm excited.

...but the rest will be shown on Aw, Portland, tomorrow.  Anyway, I took a few shots of, off of, and under the Morrison tonight.  I was very disappointed, because it wasn't lit up!  Oo-wee, T-Shane!  What's up with that? What's UP with that?

Anyway, Without further adieu... I give you... what you can see from... under... and above The Morrison.

The moon was truly amazing tonight.

Water, south.

I love the juxtaposition of bridges, here.  It would be nice if they were all lit up.

Ramp, to the Esplanade.  I had no idea they had renamed it... to Vera Katz Esplanade.  Really?  Ugh.

There she is.  No rainbow lights tonight.  I will tell you, this is one of the things about Portland that charmed me the first time I came here at night.  It was New Year's Eve, 1995.  I was with a bunch of other nit-wit, twitty friends who were apparently being wild, for the sake of being wild.  But we took a walk in waterfront park.  The bridge was lit up in purple and green.  I was enthralled.

I remember seeing this view, in particular that first night I visited this city.  I knew I wanted to live here, then.  It took me another four years to make it happen, but I did, and have been here, ever since.  Portland is home.

I will shoot the rest of this bridge, in the morning.  Stay tuned.
